I am without Internet out at the ranch. If you wrote with a request or question and I haven’t gotten back to you yet – do not despair. I am working hard today to catch up the email and also to add some new free clip art which I am releasing to the public domain at this new website. We should have the Internet back on and things back to normal in just a few more days. I hope.
The first part of October I will be working on finishing and editing the novel I wrote for the 3 Day Novel Event. Depending on how long that takes, I hope to have a week or two of break to work on Internet projects – like more coloring pages and clip art, as well as short stories for some blogs I’ve set up to carry my short fiction. If you want to keep up on my writing and other projects, keep an eye on Foovay’s Cauldron.
Right now I’m very excited to be hosting the #110 I and The Bird bird blogging carnival over on Foovay’s Cauldron tomorrow!
See you soon!

I ran onto a deal on eBay a few weeks ago – downloadable e-coloring books on CD. After having a look at them, I’ve decided to offer them free to you at Color-Your-Own.com just as a little way to generate some interest and traffic. Many of them are suitable for younger children, too. Most of my work is more generated with older children or adults in mind.
Anyway, click here and go check out the 40 free e-coloring books and download any that you’d like to have, share, etc. enjoy!

I just switched the blog to the Stunning Silence theme. It was nice and easy to tweak and customize. I’ve been feeling like the old theme was so…black and white. True, it showed off the drawings nicely, but there was just NO color to it since the drawings are all line drawings to color! I like the minimal look of Stunning Silence which still makes the artwork the focus, but at the same time, there is a bit of color now. The one thing I wish I could figure out how to do is add a link in the navigation bar directly to Color-Your-Own.com. I guess I’ll settle for one at the top of the sidebar. I also like the way the Plexo from the Coloring Books for Adults and Older Children shows up. I was never quite happy with everything at the bottom of the page.
I’m planning on devoting the whole day to various Internet things, catching up at sites like Tagfoot, and building some sites on some domains that have been hosted but neglected otherwise. And – who knows – maybe I’ll draw us another coloring page or two!

Just checking in to let you know I’m not dead. Life has been a bit hectic with adjusting to a new work schedule and lifestyle. A family member has been in the hospital with a serious illness, which has caused a bit of dashing about as well.
I have several requests in my mailbox. Thank you – you know I always love requests. I’ve had to move my living quarters around quite a bit, so the computer that I usually use for drawings isn’t hooked up right now. I am hoping to have the housing situation resolved in time to get the art done for you on Saturday – my day off. It could happen sooner, but I don’t want to make any promises I cannot keep!
At this point I do intend to keep the coloring pages on line and continue adding to them when I can. Obviously, I cannot devote the time to them that I could when I was trying to “make a living on the Internet”. Now that I’ve faced reality and gotten a job, I have less time for Internet playthings.
Thanks for hanging in there, and enjoy the coloring pages!

This nature spirit or fairy was riding through the woods on her elf horse when she stopped to visit and pet her friend wolf.
I’m going back to work in the old tick-tock world on Monday. I don’t have my schedule yet, so I haven’t a clue how that’s going to affect adding new coloring pages. I do know it will be a load of my mind to be able to do them purely for pleasure from now on. ‘Fraid I just can’t live on $20 or so a month!
And besides, I am hopeful that I’ll soon be able to purchase the bells and whistles version of the ecard making machinery, and put Fre-ecards.com back online – just as it used to be with no ads, no spyware, no popups, no subscription fees. Wouldn’t that be cool?
Think good thoughts!

As many of you know, I’m a big fan of BellaSara – the trading cards, the game, the website – the whole idea of bonding the love of horses with positive affirmations and thinking. Today I’d like to share the link for Bella Sara horse Coloring Pages. Go forth and enjoy!
I am having a hard time getting a good Internet connection right now – and it will probably continue to be a problem off and on for the next month as we enjoy our usual windy Spring here in New Mexico. The good news is that while I don’t have Internet, I tend to sit around and draw coloring pages. The bad news is we have to wait for those occassions when I have a good connection to upload them and share them with you.
I also have some extra Bella Sara Trading cards I want to put up for auction at eBay – but again – the connection and weather are preventing me. I’m also going to be painting some eggs to sell for Easter – assuming I can get a connection good enough to list those on ebay, too! Stay tuned and I’ll try and let you know, or you can always check at eBay – my user name is foovay – since I may be able to list and then not have time to blog about it!
If you are interested in seeing more of my artwork, right now I am (trying to) post a daily art from an older sketchbook, the one that traveled with me from Oklahoma to California and back to our new home in New Mexico, in my main blog, Foovay’s Cauldron.
I am now officially giving up on the Internet for a few hours. I’m going to do a few ranch chores, and do some art.
Oh – I also just joined Tagfoot – user name foovay. Looks like fun and quite a few of my Squidoo friends are already there. Come and find me if you are already a member, if not – well I haven’t grabbed the code to recommend folks yet – but what the heck, join anyway.

I think I finally found a constructive way to use those long commercial breaks during the NASCAR races – I built a new lens! Coloring books for nature lovers has plenty of coloring books to offer nature lovers – seascapes, landscapes, national parks and of course, lots and lots of wildlife and wild birds. Most of them are for older children or adults, but there are also a few focused towards younger children. Heres a sample:
Now that was fun. Life has been a bit hectic lately and I haven’t had much time to add coloring pages at Color-Your-Own.com. Most of my time has been dedicated to promoting my novel, The River Way – you can download it for free as an ebook, or purchase it at Barnes and Noble. See, I just can’t stop! LOL.
Have a great week

Cougar woodcarving
Mike over at Carvebuddy.com has somehow found time this holiday season to add a new pattern from my line art – the Cougar, or Mountain Lion. The photo at the left is how it will turn out – you can buy the pattern for the Carvebuddy or CarveWright machines at Carvebuddy.com. Aren’t these great? If I had any room here, a workshop, etc. I’d have to buy a machine just so I could do them!
Traffic and income have really nosedived on Color-Your-Own.com coloring pages website since the big webhost explosion. In spite of that, I have added some new coloring pages this month, and have more in the works. I’ve been working on some other projects, such as making it to Giant Squid over at Squidoo.com, and making ATCs and inchies for swaps over at Swap-bot.com. I certainly haven’t given up on the coloring pages, but with it now earning just $5 over what I pay for hosting, it’s pretty much just a hobby now.
I’ve tried advertising, blogging, writing about it, all kinds of things, and nothing seems to improve it or get me actually to show up in search results for coloring pages. *shrug* Ideas, anyone?

Partridge in a Pear Tree Coloring Page
I am making a bit of progress on redrawing the Christmas Coloring Pages. Today I uploaded and added the links for the PDF printable versions of The Partridge in a Pear Tree Coloring page and the Two Turtledoves coloring page. Both have been redrawn, and the new and improved drawing is on the regular page, too. I dare you to tell the difference! The circle has been redrawn with a lighter line, and some minor corrections have been made to both drawings. When all of them are done they should all look more uniform, and print out better in the standard 8.5 x 11 size.
Meanwhile, for my beloved horse-crazy fans, check out this lens about Gallop Home – a horse board game, and coloring book! While you are at Squidoo, check out my lens on Free Printable Christmas Coloring Pages.
I’ve got to go into town for a while today, but hopefully I’ll get some new coloring pages, and more of the Christmas coloring pages redo up later tonight or in the morning! And oh yes – you may have noticed a new format for the blog. It still needs a little tweaking – but I think I like it a lot better. You?
Enjoy!

Hi folks! Just getting the new blog set up. After all the fun and games with the old webhost, a short stint with a new webhost that didn’t work out, we are finally at what I hope will be our happy new home in cyberland. We have a new blog – looks a lot like the old blog. I just updated the Line art on the Internet lens over at Squidoo with the new feed. I did some other updating while I was at it and between one thing and another I’m pretty brain dead at the moment. So I’m going to go do a little housework, maybe eat something, and either today or tomorrow I’ll be back to create the blidget for the front page, and at long long last add some new coloring pages.
Although I have been spending a lot of time working on some other projects (like getting my novel ready for publishing), one very large reason I did not get any new coloring pages up over the last few months is that I found the interface at the new webhost all but impossible to use. After struggling to get the one Halloween page up I just could not face it again.
As some of you probably know, I also suffer from Seasonal Affect Disorder – aka winter blues – which also often limits what I get done in the winter time. Don’t give up on me.
Thanks
