Free Downloadable Coloring Books – Fairies!

July 16th, 2009

I just had to share this with you – two free downloadable coloring books. One is for Pagan kids (but this Pagan adult is going to enjoy it!) and the other is a beautiful fairy alphabet to color. Needless to say I’ve added the link to all my Squidoo lenses about coloring and fairies, and I just had to share it here, too. They are here on Proud to be Pagan.

I hope to get a few more things done today on the Internet and I’ve finally gotten a decent amount of housework done. Although I’ll be working more hours at work after my transfer goes through, I will have a regular schedule. Which means I’ll be able to set aside a regular time to blog, write, draw new coloring pages…

July 4th Coloring Pages

July 4th, 2009

Just a quick reminder that I do have several July 4th coloring pages at Color-Your-Own.com including an American flag and eagle, liberty bell, and the statue of liberty.

I just finished a new Squidoo lens, Rainbows in Art. I did it for the fun and the beauty of it. Drop by and have a look!

I’m taking a break, then perhaps maybe possibly if I don’t get interrupted 100 times, drawing. Sorry it’s been so long – there’s just all sorts of obstacles lately. I’m going to have a talk with my managers Sunday about trying to get me a regular schedule so I can reclaim my life.

Fairy Coloring Pages

June 28th, 2009

I just happened to drop by Squidoo today and notice that my Fairy Coloring Pages lens is ranked #116 in the Arts category! I have never had a top 100 ranked lens in any category (let alone overall) and it would give me the biggest thrill if you’d drop by, maybe rate, and I hope enjoy all the fun fairy things – and help me get into the top 100 in Arts! Please and thank you!

Horse Coloring book on sale under $5

April 11th, 2009

Don’t miss this one! No affiliation – but you know how I love all the wonderful Dover coloring books and clipart collections. They’ve put the Horses Stained Glass Coloring Fun book on sale for under $5!! This link, BTW, is to one of the free samples so at least go print those two free samples out and enjoy them!

I just got my schedule for my new job. We’ll just have to wait and see how much time I really end up having to draw new coloring pages. Right now I’m dealing with being really physically tired – its been a long time since I had a job this physical full-time, as well as getting the ranch and house ready to host family over Easter. Fortunately I stay in pretty good shape and I’m sure in a week or so I’ll be adjusted and ready to work all aspects of my life in to the new schedule.

Meanwhile, you can always check at Coloring Books and Coloring Pages on the Internet headquarters at Squidoo. We have some wonderful contributors who draw their own coloring pages and share them for free.

Unschooling and John Holt

April 2nd, 2009

This link was sent to me today by a tagfoot friend, and I immediately thought about all you homeschoolers who use the coloring pages at Color-Your-Own.com. The page is about “Unschooling” and John Holt, who coined the term. Read about Mr. Holt and unschooling here. IMHO traditional schooling does as much harm as good and manages mimimal education beyond about grade one. But that is influenced heavily by the schools I attended, and that was a long time ago. I can but hope that public schools have improved in that area (they could hardly have gotten any worse) and I know that some public schools were always much better than those I attended. There are plenty of reasons and opinions either way and I’m just glad that I don’t have kids or grandkids to worry about – and I can make my little contribution with coloring pages.

Fun Free Activities

March 31st, 2009

I hope to get some new coloring pages drawn for you later today, but for right now I just ran onto this free ebook download by a friend from Squidoo and Tagfoot, and immediately thought how right it is for you guys. It is Fun Free Activities by Rewards4Life. Just read this intro:

What comes directly to mind when you think back to your past about a precious memory you’ve experienced within your childhood?

Dollars to doughnuts says that it absolutely had nothing to do with money!

When we are younger, we don’t stop to think about how much an activity cost. But rather, we remember how much fun we had doing it and spending time together with the rest of our family.

Now does that sound just like those of us who love to sit around with the kids and color free printable coloring pages? So go check out the free ebook, download it and enjoy. I have a few household/ranch chores to do and then I’ll sit myself down and draw a bit for us. I haven’t heard back on the job yet, so I may as well try and get as many good new coloring pages up as I can before I am back on the grindstone.

Bella Sara coloring pages

March 23rd, 2009

As many of you know, I’m a big fan of BellaSara – the trading cards, the game, the website – the whole idea of bonding the love of horses with positive affirmations and thinking. Today I’d like to share the link for Bella Sara horse Coloring Pages. Go forth and enjoy!

I am having a hard time getting a good Internet connection right now – and it will probably continue to be a problem off and on for the next month as we enjoy our usual windy Spring here in New Mexico. The good news is that while I don’t have Internet, I tend to sit around and draw coloring pages. The bad news is we have to wait for those occassions when I have a good connection to upload them and share them with you.

I also have some extra Bella Sara Trading cards I want to put up for auction at eBay – but again – the connection and weather are preventing me. I’m also going to be painting some eggs to sell for Easter – assuming I can get a connection good enough to list those on ebay, too! Stay tuned and I’ll try and let you know, or you can always check at eBay – my user name is foovay – since I may be able to list and then not have time to blog about it!

If you are interested in seeing more of my artwork, right now I am (trying to) post a daily art from an older sketchbook, the one that traveled with me from Oklahoma to California and back to our new home in New Mexico, in my main blog, Foovay’s Cauldron.

I am now officially giving up on the Internet for a few hours. I’m going to do a few ranch chores, and do some art.

Oh – I also just joined Tagfoot – user name foovay. Looks like fun and quite a few of my Squidoo friends are already there. Come and find me if you are already a member, if not – well I haven’t grabbed the code to recommend folks yet – but what the heck, join anyway.

Greyhound rescue – Fife

March 11th, 2009

I heard from a lovely lady today who was seeking permission to use the greyhound coloring pages as part of a thank you package for Celia’s Greyhound Rescue (Fife). Of course, greyhound lover that I am, I said yes, and went to visit the site. What a really special facility! Although they naturally cannot handle hundreds of hounds like some rescues, they give each hound so much TLC and a real home atmosphere.

I’m a bit of a starving artist myself these days, so all I can give is free use of my art. If you want a nice boost of happy thoughts today, visit their site, and if you have a few pennies to spare, I’m sure they’d appreciate them.

Brag brag brag

January 17th, 2009

Well, I was once again rejected for Giant Squid status. I had already decided if I was rejected a third time I was going to quit bothering, so yeah, I’m done. The coloring book lenses do very well though, as well as any lenses about the line art at color-your-own.com so those will stay up and maybe even be added to. I was quite proud that my group for Coloring Books and Coloring Pages on the Internet was awarded an “Excellent Group Award”.

I have a number of projects I want to get going on next week – but I’ll sure try and get a few new coloring pages up, too.

Keeping up with your kids

January 10th, 2009

Happy New Year and all that! Hope everyone is doing great and having a wonderful new year. I’ve been busy, including a long trip out of town to take care of some unfinished business. Now that it is out of the way, I hope to be adding more coloring pages and other interesting goodies to this blog.

I ran onto this video today and found it interesting. I could sure have used some more energy this last week driving back and forth (an 18 hour drive was part of that little jaunt) and working. It occurred to me especially with so many people putting off having their children now until later in life that it must be a real effort sometimes to keep up with a young child if you are in your thirties or forties or beyond. Besides, who wouldn’t like to feel better and have more energy? So watch the video, see what you think.
