I just got home from a long day of doctors and hospitals that was spent largely chasing our tails – to find a lovely note in my email box that led to a link to these beautiful royalty free animal coloring pages to print. I think I’m going to relax with a few of them myself – or maybe I’ll whip out my favorite Mandala drawing kit for something quiet and mindless that nevertheless manages to focus and quiet my mind after a long and harassing day.

I haven’t drawn any new coloring pages lately. Doctors and social services seem to feel like we should be at their beck and call 24-7! Add a brief foray into the job market for me and poof, there goes all my drawing time. My concentration is also not what it should be. Thus I have been doing “easy things” like these Squidoo lenses:

So far – The Color-Your-Own.com coloring book shop is still live. It has just barely managed to pay for it’s $10 a month self. I got to looking at the coding though, and I can definately create something more SEO friendly. If I ever get the time.
Meanwhile – I’ve got stuff to do! TTYL

Girl Hugging Pony Free Printable Coloring Page
Have you ever wondered if I color my own coloring pages? Well, actually, I do. Many of them are line arts that I drew for an illustration or clip art that I needed for a webpage or a story – and this little girl and her pony are in an origianl fairy tale at Demented-Pixie.com. They were created and colored entirely on the computer – digital art.
On my main blog, Foovay’s Cauldron, you can see the Betta Fish coloring page I printed out and colored with colored pencils. This is part of that first batch of ten files I sent to Jim of eBook Connection to create a sort of “test” coloring book. When I got it back, I printed it out. I must say – I was very favorably impressed.
Which nicely segues into my next subject. The poll results are in. Of eleven votes, six said they would buy and download the smaller one subject coloring books even if they were priced at one dollar each. Five just wanted the big coloring book with all the images. Therefore – I am going to create and offer both the small one subject books and the big one. Renaming the files, creating tables of contents and covers will take up all the rest of my day.
Keep an eye on this blog – I’m going to run a nice little promotion giving that first sample coloring book away for free to celebrate making the coloring books available!
If you spend a lot of time looking for clipart, preferably public domain clip art that you can use for your webpages, blogs, Squidoo lenses, and craft projects – I’ve created a new Squidoo lens that is just for you. Public Domain Clipart lists all of my favorite sources of public domain clip art, that I have discovered in hours and hours of surfing for just the right image over the last ten years. Hope it will help you and perhaps save you a little time!

I’ve noticed that many of the adults who love to color are particularily attracted to coloring patterns, like the Mandalas I talk about on this lens. Since many of us color as a sort of zen, meditation like activity that makes perfectly good sense.
Altair Design is a fantastic flash website where you can color in one of their many beautiful designs ONLINE. No fuss, no muss, no printing anything out or even tossing your crayons or colored pencils all over the table. Personally, I find it a perfect activity for any time I’m stuck listening to the dreaded hold music on the phone while waiting for someone who barely comprehends english to tell me why my electricity is flickering. (It’s been that kind of week). They also have the designs available to color “in hard copy” books that you can purchase from Amazon.com.
So while I’m busy building coloring books and updating Color-Your-Own.com go play around over at Altair Designs. They even have contests and looking at other peoples creations can be humbling and inspiring all at once.

I just added a bunch of people to my Twitter account with TweetCatch using the search term “coloring”. I’ve already met a bunch of great people and discovered some wonderful sites for kids and for coloring. I thought I was pretty cool with my over 300 coloring pages, but Coloring Book Fun has over 8000 coloring pages to print out and enjoy! I am humbled! I am also going to be printing out some for myself this evening 
Let me also brag and point you at Coloring Books, Coloring Pages, and Clipart for Thanksgiving – my newest lens about – of course, coloring books, coloring pages, and clipart for Thanksgiving – LOL. I wish I could have found more and a greater variety of coloring books and coloring pages too. If you have suggestions I should add don’t hesitate to tell me about them.
I am swamped with the new Twitter followers today, also trying to get my Thanksgiving lenses done on Squidoo, and I think I’m finally about ready to begin actual work on my Nanowrimo novel soon so I don’t think I’ll get a new coloring page up today. Go have a blast over at Coloring Book Fun!

I have been working away at getting my old free clip art site updated and back on line. If you are interested you can watch the progress at the free clip art blog as well as adding some new Squidoo lenses and updating the old ones, which you can keep up with at my Squidoo lensography.
This means I’m probably not going to get a new coloring page up today. But I’d like to share these CUTE Printable Halloween address labels with you. Not mine – but they are too cute, aren’t they?

My friend at CarveBuddy.com who creates wonderful patterns for wood carving from the line art at Color-Your-Own.com has added the Red Fox pattern. These look like so much fun. One of these days I’ll have to have a shop just so I can get one! LOL

Momsbreak Printables is my latest greatest discovery. They followed me on Twitter and I cruised on over the check them out. They have printables in all kinds of categories, clipart, invitations, kids activities, coloring pages (of course), and more. A very cool resource. Check it out!
I just survived the 3 day Novel contest. I’m wiped out. I’m going to play about a bit online and then take the rest of the day off to read, nap, and recover. The good news is I promised myself to spend the next week drawing horses, fairies, and wildlife (some of my favorite things) coloring pages for Color-Your-Own.com.

I found this fun little site today, Fun Pinata Party Ideas which is full of great kids party ideas for younger children. She even has some nice, simple coloring pages to match the party themes! The site is aimed more towards younger children than Color-Your-Own.com so if you have some younger kids who find my coloring pages too complex or have kids of all ages to entertain be sure and check out the parties and coloring pages at Fun Pinata Party Ideas.
I got the coolest request today – and I have just a few days to do some web work before I start working on my 3 Day Novel over the Labor Day weekend – so look for some new coloring pages to be added this week!
