Free Printable Coloring Pages for Preschool children

March 12th, 2011

I was requested to add a link with this website today – and I turned them down, but not because it is a bad site. In fact, it is a lovely site with a number of good coloring pages for very young, preschool children. Most of my audience is older children, adults, crafters, and homeschoolers. But – if you happen to have small children who love to color, check these out!

Noah’s Ark Coloring Pages

February 27th, 2011

I ran onto this nicely done Squidoo lens today of Noah’s Ark Bible Story and Coloring Pages and wanted to share it with my coloring page fans.

Normally on a Sunday I’d be laying around in my jammies reading or coloring or otherwise being lazy. However, I’ve done a whole lot of that over the last few months when it seemed like everything in my life had totally stalled out. Now that I’m in town, I’m perpetually frustrated with my minimal Internet time – I have so many lenses, and coloring pages, finished that I never get enough time to upload them all. So I decided it would actually be better for my peace of mind today to come sit in the car in front of the Civic Center and try and get some of that work online. Cleaning my desk so to speak. :D So here I am…

I’M AN ANGEL!!!

February 15th, 2011

Nope, I’m not dead. But –

I am so stoked, I am so excited, I am so happy and joyful and – one of my fondest wishes for this year has come true already! I have been tapped to be the Squid Angel for the Arts and Design>Graphic Design>Other Graphic Design neighborhood on Squidoo! I’m goin’ wild! I’ve already blessed four lenses – you gotta see these;

I’ve only just begun *GRIN* I’m so happy I cannot stand myself.

Wait until next month – when I hope to have Internet actually AT HOME. Finally, I can WORK again. Sure, I can write, I can draw – but I can’t inflict it on anyone or at least – it becomes problematic when I only get a couple hours of Internet a week. It’s better now – we can come to the Computer Lab several days a week now that we are in town. Things will be even better when I have Internet at home again. Look out world!

And yes – look forward to (finally) some new coloring pages too!

Winter Solstice, St. Nicholas, and Christmas Greeting Cards and Postage

November 30th, 2010

Send something unique this year – and support your friendly neighborhood starving artist – that’s me by the way. Okay, not starving (yet) because of food stamps (which we will lose soon) but COLD dammit – out of propane! LOL. Plus it seems as if my scanner has died. ARGH.

Another Great Resource for Adult coloring pages

November 24th, 2010

My dear Squidoo friend Pastiche has created this Adult Coloring Pages blog and I just now found it? All I can say is I haven’t had much time online for a long time, one way and another. I just browsed the Adult Coloring Pages blog for about five minutes this morning and already found half a dozen pages I want to print out and color. They are perfect to keep me busy when I am waiting four to six hours while hubby is in dialysis. The time just seems to fly by when I am concentrating on coloring a complex drawing or pattern. I have a little bag I carry around that has a clip board with some coloring pages, and a little box of colored pencils. Of course, I have even more fun when I have space and feel like carrying the BIG folder of over 100 colored pencils ;)

How to Draw Horses

November 19th, 2010

I’m trying something new at Squidoo – How to Draw Horses in 12 easy steps is a tutorial on, you guessed it, how to draw horses. I’d love to hear feedback on it – is it good, bad, indifferent? Would you use it, share it, diss it? Tell me what you think!

Dolphins and Jack-O-Lanterns and Halloween Coloring Books

October 6th, 2010

No new coloring pages here today – but I’ve got some great recommendations. You can find dolphin coloring pages and crafts here. My friend Pastiche shared these great Jack-O-Lantern coloring pages and crafts here. And last but hardly least, I shared my Top Ten Halloween Coloring Books here. So go forth and browse…

Summer Solstice Greeting Card

June 13th, 2010

It is a beautiful sunny summer afternoon. There is just enough breeze to make it pleasent to be outside. But, me, I am way behind on Internet business between the ISP mistakenly shutting us off earlier this week and spending a lot of time with doctors and dialysis center. Meanwhile, the wonderful lensmasters at Squidoo have really stepped up and donated enough to keep us going for at least a little while longer as well as many great suggestions for ways I can make a little more money.

Just to celebrate, today I created greeting cards, postage, stickers and a magnet with this beautiful summer sun design – one I colored digitally from the summer sun coloring pages I added a few weeks ago.

Someone made a suggestion that those of you who print out and use the coloring pages would probably enjoy having a binder to keep them in. I think that’s a brilliant suggestion – and will be creating some binders for you in my Zazzle store later this week (I hope).

Custom Puzzle Books

June 12th, 2010

Just when you think no one noticed or cared at all about my plea for assistance on this – my number one website as far as traffic – the owner of Snukums.com comes along. She was looking for coloring pages to add to these marvelous custom puzzle books she creates. I’ve just been browsing through them and they are really unique and fun. I can think of all kinds of uses – neat favors at birthday parties, any kind of promotion or fundraiser event, or gifts for your kids or grandkids with their own family photos.

Thank you so much Genesis Lin for your very generous donation – and for sharing your own unique creativity with the world. May you have much success.

A long overdue update

April 10th, 2010

Can you believe it has been two years since I did a major update and overhaul of good old Line Art on the Internet? So much has changed in my life and at Squidoo since I wrote my very first lens to promote the Color-Your-Own.com website. If you haven’t read it you might find the story of how Color-Your-Own came to be interesting. If you have, you might enjoy seeing the updates.

For the first time I came home from a full days work with a wee bit of energy left. I didn’t fall directly into bed and asleep. There is hope that I’ll find the time and energy to draw more coloring pages yet ;)
