This is M in the April A to Z blogging challenge. I’m sorry, I had to remove the widget that would take you to the next blog – it was somehow interfering with the other widgets? Weird.
I have faced my fears again, and created three new spring themed mandalas for you to color! If I can create mandalas, you can, too. Read this lens to find out how. Meanwhile – enjoy these three spring mandalas featuring designed inspired by butterfly wings, mother goddess (Ostara), and spring lilies. As always you can go to the full size coloring page by clicking on the thumbnails, or the links below.

This is L in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge
I noticed some time ago that Color-Your-Own.com has one woeful deficit – no reptile or amphibean coloring pages! and I do not understand that, since I myself happen to really like reptiles and amphibeans. I guess people ask me more for the fluffy friendly type creatures!
So for the “L” blog I’d like to finally add some lizard coloring pages! I picked two of my favorite lizards to add first. The Desert Grassland Whiptail Lizard is the State Lizard of New Mexico We have tons of them out at the ranch during the warm months – but I love them most in the spring when their colors are fresh and new. These lizards have bright turquoise blue tails, and the youngs ones have blue on the head as well. I’ve included a link on the coloring page to a photo and article so you can read more about them. The other new lizard is one that is familiar to many people, also native to the Southwest U.S.A. although we don’t have them in New Mexico – the closest Gila Monsters to us would be in Arizona. You may use these links or click on the thumbnails to get to the new lizard coloring pages. Enjoy!

This is the K post for the April A to Z Blogging Challenge

How many of you knew I love to kayak and birdwatch? Both are some of my favorite things to do. I can’t wait until the water is warm enough around here to get the kayak out! One thing I love about kayaking is the wildlife and birds seem to not think you are a threat – they will let you get much closer in a kayak than they ever would if you were on foot. I hope I captured some of that peace and serenity I love in this coloring page of summer kayaking and bird watching. You can find more Summer coloring pages for all ages at this link.

This is J in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge
I thought for J I’d choose between the “J” animals at SandboxFarm since the players there were some of my first and best users of Color-Your-Own.com. I had Jackal, Jaguar, Jerboa, and Jellyfish to choose from. I looked a jellyfish but they have this ethereal beauty that I think would have to be captured in something like velvet painting – neon colors on black – LOL. Jerboas were cute, but the cutest was the Long Eared Jerboa, and we don’t have that one on SandboxFarm. I can, however, remedy that next time I buy tokens
I’ve already done Jaguars. So that left Jackals.
And then I went looking at Jackals and found myself enchanted. They have that same wry, humorous “I am SO up to something” look that our delightfully obnoxious coyotes have here in the southwest. I’m hooked. I hope you like them, too.

Golden Jackals, also called Indian Jackals, live in India – click here or on the thumbnail for the coloring page
Yep, I’m plugging my favorite game a lot. It needs some new blood. I think the problem may be that it is marketed to children as mmorpg when it is really more of an adults sim game. You should try it

This is I in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge
See, I told you we’d get back to Ireland! Interestingly enough, when looking for Irish “livestock” I found only one pony breed, one horse breed (I think there are more that are likely classified as “types” rather than breeds – I’m not done with that yet!), no cat, but a good many dogs! Terriers, gun dogs and probably the best known of all – their national dog in fact – the Irish Wolfhound.
Now I’m partial to the Wolfhound myself – because if you know me, you know I love the sight hounds or gaze hounds as they are often called these days. So – no aspersions on the beautiful setters or terriers – but I’ll work them in later. Here are a couple of Irish Wolfhound coloring pages.

This post is “G” in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge
It may seem a little fishy – but after looking at all the lovely aquariums yesterday, I wanted to do a goldfish coloring page today.
Since I was such an overachiever yesterday that I did four coloring pages, I held it down to one today. I know, there are so many marvelous varieties of goldfish – but if you say “goldfish” to most people I believe they think of this guy – your average fantail or veiltail goldfish. They come in so many colors, I left colors and markings out so you can go crazy on him.

Now I want a new fish tank! I’m not sure where I would manage to squeeze on into this little house. Perhaps just a small betta bowl for my desk…

This is for “F” in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge
Aquarium fish are some of my favorite pets. I love their beauty, grace, and personalities. I know I’m not the only one who can sit and stare, mesmerized, at an aquarium full of fish for hours. I have a few fish at Color-Your-Own.com but not very many. Yet the Male Betta Fish Coloring Page is one of the most commonly downloaded pages! So when I decided on fish for today it was easy to decide on some of the most popular (and my own favorite) freshwater aquarium fish to feature.
Below are thumbnails of the Freshwater Angelfish Coloring Page, Fancy or Deluxe Guppy Coloring Page, Male Swordtail Fish Coloring Page, and the Sailfin Mollies Coloring Page. You can use these links, or click on the thumbnails to go to the full size coloring pages.

This is “E” in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge.
At last, I have something for you who love to color patterns, mandala coloring pages, geometric coloring pages, and so on. It isn’t my first try at a pattern coloring page – but it is the first one I am willing to share in public – LOL!
I began with an Egg shape – for “E” of course, and for Easter. In the end, I created three versions of the patterned coloring page, one with flowers at top and bottom for everybody, one with a cross at top and bottom for Christians, and one with a pentagram at top and bottom for Pagans, even though I know Ostara is past. There is always next year. The thumbnails are below and are linked to the coloring pages, as well as a link list below them.

I hope you enjoy these! You can find Ostara – Spring Equinox – Easter Coloring Pages, Clipart, and Greeting Cards at this link

In keeping with the April A – Z Blogging Challenge today’s new coloring pages are baskets – Easter baskets that is. Five minutes after I signed up to the challenge I was kicking myself – after all I said I was doing more spring, irish, and easter coloring pages this month. Then I figured out that with the entire alphabet to go through, I could surely work in all the other coloring pages I had already hoped to do.
With no further ado – I present you with these Easter Basket Coloring Pages;

At the last minute, I decided NOT to decorate the eggs in the Eggs in a Basket Line Art in case you would rather exercise your own creativity, but also so it could be used in several more ways, such as a line art of eggs in a basket for a homestudy unit about chickens, or farming, or you could color the eggs to be those of different varieties of birds.
While looking around at photos of easter baskets, I happened to run into this
, which is an “Easter Basket” Rose. It was so appealing that I created a coloring page for it as well. The thumbnail photo links to the large version of the photo (which is in the public domain) but, of course, you can color the roses any shade you prefer.

In case you don’t think this is very challenging – let me point out that it takes me on average an hour, sometimes two or three, to create a drawing for a coloring page. Often I spend an entire day researching – especially in the case of wildlife or a particular domestic animal breed – before I begin drawing.
In February Color-Your-Own.com earned $7.98. My webhosting is $9.95 a month. I know times are tough for everyone, but if you use and enjoy my coloring pages perhaps you could see your way to making a small donation, or perhaps shopping a bit at my Zazzle store or even just visiting a few of my Squidoo lenses that would really help us out. My husband, who has always supported me so I could follow my dreams, is now fully disabled so our income has dropped significantly.
Okay, I promise not to ask again for at least a month
Enjoy

I don’t know what I was thinking when I signed up not only Foovay’s Cauldron for the April A to Z Blogging Challenge but also THIS blog! Am I crazy? (Don’t answer that)
On top of that, one thing and another came up – making April 1st a very busy day. But I still managed to get you not one, but three new coloring pages, with Angels – since that seemed to be the theme for the day one way and another. First I got to enjoy my Squid Angel status by joining all the Squid Angels in a Neighborhood Tour. Later my hubby discovered his payment had arrived early – a real blessing since we had been lied to about another benefit last month that left us literally out of food. No fun for me, life endangering for him. On our way home from shopping we got to be angels again – donating some money to a young lady who was stranded, out of gas, and out of money. It’s just an angel kind of day!
I did something very unusual for me today. While looking for some reference photos of angels at FromOldBooks.org – an excellent source of public domain art and line drawings, I ran onto a drawing that was perfect in almost every way – except the lines were gold rather than black. So I took it into PaintShopPro9 did just a bit more tweaking, and here it is;
You can click on the thumbnail or here for the Angels of Peace Coloring Page. You’ll notice it does not say “Line Art by Color-Your-Own.com” on it anywhere – I didn’t draw it. It is in the public domain, however, so there is no reason I cannot tweak it for you and share it. FromOldBooks.org has many line drawings that with just a bit of work could work well for coloring pages – you might want to check it out!
Here are the two angels I drew;

I started a new section in the menu for angels – I couldn’t figure out where else to put them!
Most of my time this week has been devoted to working on my Zazzle store, Enchanted Greetings and Purebred Pets on Postage. It isn’t finished yet, but it is looking a lot better. More products, and much better organization coming soon…
See you tomorrow with some B’s
