You guys are always challenging me with your requests! In the last two days I’ve gotten three exciting requests that have made my heart warm, made me think, and challenged my drawing ability. Keep ‘em coming! You can always email requests to me – be sure and put Color Your Own in the subject line so they don’t get shuffled off to junk mail tho.
Linda wrote to tell me her husband loves to color trees and shrubs. I love trees, too – especially ones with very interesting shapes. I told my husband about the request and he responded by taking some photos (which is what he loves to do) and I’ll be sharing those later. The first thing I did was go look back in the archives for some old watercolor paintings I had done of trees. This is the first coloring page – a tree fallen over a stream. One of those hardy willows, when I drew it it still had green leaves on it! Here’s a link to the fallen tree coloring page as well as a thumbnail linked to the painting on Flickr so you have a reference if you’d like one.
